In other news , it was my birthday on Tuesday which means this week has been a fun one and it's not over yet ! On my actual birthday I got to go to the zoo because my boyfriend is amazing. He also bought me this :

Back from my weekend adventures which unfourtunatly weren't as fun as I had hoped ! I had fun at the show mainly because I spent the whole time drinking sneaky cider ahaha. And my mum was working at one of the band stalls taking photographs so I got a dress and free chocolate , boss !

I'm gonna say though that this weekend would have been ultimately horrible had I not got to sing on stage with Neil Buchanan from Art Attack in his ridiculous band , Marseille ahahaha. It was the best moment of my life !

weekend muffins

I have a really busy weekend this week , full of lots of fun ! In the meantime though , I have lots of packing to do for said weekend and lots of rubbish bank things to sort out. I hate banks ! Seriously , from now on - my money is being kept in my mattress !

On the plus side , here is a recepie for the most amazing muffins ever ! For serious , give it a try !




Preparation Time 20 minutes

Cooking Time 20 minutes

Makes 16

Ingredients
60g butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup (115g) caster sugar
2 eggs
1 cup (250ml) milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups (375g) self-raising flour, sifted
250g (1 punnet) strawberries, washed, hulled, roughly chopped
1/2 cup (95g) white choc bits


Method
Preheat oven to 180°C. Line 16 x 1/3 muffin pans with paper cases.
Beat the butter and sugar until pale and creamy. Beat in the eggs, milk and vanilla.
Use a large metal spoon to fold in the flour until just combined. Gently stir in the strawberries and white choc bits. Spoon the mixture into the cases. Bake for 15 - 20 minutes until golden.

So I got back last night from my weekend adventures. We decided to forget about camping since we have the worst luck in the world and the weather was shit when we left , so we hung out on a canal boat all weekend - which , if you ask me , is about a trillion times better than sitting in a tent for three days getting rained on. I pretty much hate camping but I love chilling on canals ahaha. People who have canal boats are nicer than regular people. I know this to be a fact. Everyone says hello to you and is super nice. I also saw a bunch of people who live in their boats and grow vegetables on the roof and have garden furniture out on the decks. I think this is the most amazing thing I've ever seen and if I'm ever in the financial position to live on a canal boat I will do so without even thinking twice.

So I pretty much spent three days romanticizing about living my life on a canal somewhere in the West of England and growning my own food and playing guitar and generally living some kind of amazing hippy lifestyle. I was devastated we had to leave - I drank a bottle of Strongbow in the car on the way home and babbled some drunken shit to pretty much the entirety of my boyfriends family. I passed out on the couch and then proceeded a few hours later to have some weird sleep episode which I just don't remember at all.

I love my life.

summertime means camping time !

Going out into the wilderness and hoping for the best seems to be my new favourite activity lately so tomorrow morning I'm off on a fun camping adventure to Hell's Mouth , of all places !

In other news , I basically have been doing nothing lately because it's been summertime big style here , so my days have consisted of lying round the house roasting half to death and listening to lots of Sublime , fantastic ! I'm sure I will have something half interesting to update with after this weekend though !

This is literally all I've been watching on TV lately. I love it ! It's like someone looked inside my mind and made a frightening cartoon out of what they found. I'm facsinated by the idea of an island made of candy !

body hate !

My body has decided to bistow upon me not my second , but THIRD period of this month ! I couldn't be any less impressed.

In other news I seem to be the only person I know who gives a shit about Michael Jackson's death. I'm pretty sad about it , I buzzed off his music , I don't see why there has to be anymore to it than that !

I have a busy week ahead... photographs , set design , lots of artsy rubbish and then camping on friday ! fun fun fun. I also need to find a REAL job this week , T-Mobile keep sending me threats of legal action ahaha :'(

For now though , it's Breakfast at Tiffany's time , bye !
